Pastors Paul and Ashley Daugherty
Paul Daugherty, along with his wife Ashley, serve as the Lead Pastors of Victory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Paul Daugherty also serves as the President of the Board for VCS.
Paul speaks weekly at Victory's services while ministering to various audiences through TV & podcasts and reaches thousands of people with God's Word on a weekly basis. Paul and Ashley have two young boys, Liam and Benaiah. They also travel around the world speaking at churches, conferences, and crusades. His style of preaching is described as refreshingly transparent, uplifting, and practical. Paul's desire is that people feel empowered and challenged to step out and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.
Paul is the author of multiple mini-books such as The Fourth Quarter, Relationship Refresh, 60 Promises, Born for More, and Stepping into Revival. He has written worship songs that are featured on several albums, and he has also released two personal albums, which have appeared on TBN and Daystar Global Television on the 360 Life television series. Paul pioneered Victory with Paul Daugherty, which airs globally on the Hillsong Channel every day. He also began his leadership podcast, "Learning to Lead", which is frequently updated in the Podcast App. Paul is a graduate of Oral Roberts University, with a bachelor’s degree in Theology, and is currently working on his Master’s Degree at Oral Roberts University.
Superintendent - Jim Cherry
Mr. Cherry is entering his 46th year of education and 36th year of School Administration. Mr. Cherry has spent his most recent non-VCS Administration role as Principal of Tulsa Edison - one of the two magnet schools for Tulsa Public Schools. Upon returning to VCS in 2012 he stepped in as an Assistant Principal in charge of Discipline. This past year he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of VCS.
Mr. Cherry has helped enhance new efforts in discipline, broadened the curriculum, and was a critical component of the academic acceleration that is being carried out at VCS. Having both a daughter and grandchildren enrolled at VCS, Mr. Cherry has a deep commitment to seeing VCS grow and improve.
Assistant Superintendent - Bruce Atteberry
Mr. Atteberry has served in Christian Education since 1982. He came to Victory Christian School in 2005 teaching 6th grade Science, 6th grade Honors Science, and 7th grade Honors Geography. He has served as middle school assistant principal, middle school principal, Director of Online Learning, Director of Curriculum, and currently is the Assistant Superintendent to Mr. Cherry. Mr. Atteberry also has law enforcement experience serving as a patrol officer, district attorney investigator, detective, and DARE officer.
Upper School Principal - Dr. Chris Royael
Dr. Chris Royael has been in Educational Leadership and Pastoral Ministry for over 25 years. He spent 13 years at Oral Roberts University in Student Life and Development mentoring young people to fulfill their God-given calling. Since leaving ORU, he has focused his energies on shaping the hearts and minds of the next generation serving as an Upper School Principal and Superintendent for 13 years, and on Pastoral staff for 12 years as the Community Life Pastor in South Texas. He is a former ICAA Accreditation Commissioner, External Review chairperson, adjunct professor, and was named the ORUef 2015 Administrator of the Year.
An ordained minister, Dr. Chris ministers regularly and conducts workshops. He and his wife Amy have three beautiful girls and love being a part of Victory Christian School and Victory Christian Church. His life mission is to create environments where people can: DISCOVER who God is, His purpose, His plans, and His promises, DEVELOP a Biblical worldview and Christ-like character, and DEPLOY their gifts and talents for Christian witness and service all for the glory of God.
Lower School Principal - Jennifer Miller
Jennifer Miller has been in Education and a Certified Teacher for over 22 years. She taught 2nd Grade at Victory Christian School for 16 years before becoming the Lower School Principal in 2017. After graduating from victory Christian School, she received her Undergraduate Degree in 1995, from Oral Roberts University in Elementary Education. She returned to Oral Roberts University and earned her Master’s Degree in School Administration in 2002.
Jennifer and her husband Chris are both VCS alumni. They have two children at VCS, Jackson and Isabella.
Athletic Director - Ryan Wakley
Ryan Wakley came to VCS in the fall of 1997 as the assistant volleyball and basketball coach.
He served as an assistant coach until the fall of 2000 when he took over as head coach of the girl's basketball team. He was the head coach of the girls until the fall of 2002 when he returned to be an assistant on the boy's staff. During the spring of 2003, he was the head coach for the baseball program leading them to a district championship. In the spring of 2003, he was promoted to Head Boys basketball coach and has been in that position since that time. He has led the program to the State tournament 9 out of the 13 years he has been the head coach. In the spring of 2010, he assumed the role of Athletic Director.
Coach Wakley and his wife, June Anne, have been married for over 20 years., and have one son, RJ (18), and two daughters Jaxie (15) and Bella (14).
